What is Explorial?

Explorial is a mixture of sightseeing, a scavenger hunt and an escape game.

You explore the city on foot and get points for solving different types of tasks. The tasks can only be solved on the spot.

Solve the tasks and puzzles to successfully earn points. Be better than other groups to break the high score of the city.

How long does an Explorial Trail take to complete?

An Explorial game is not limited in time. The city can be explored at your own pace and breaks can be taken. However, the individual tasks should be solved quickly in order to score as many points as possible.

The whole adventure lasts on average about 1-2 hours.

How many players is Explorial suitable for?

The optimal group size is between 1-8 players. For larger groups, it makes sense to split into smaller groups to play.

What should you bring to an Explorial Trail?

To play Explorial, you need a smartphone with an active internet connection and the Explorial app. The app can be downloaded here. Also make sure that your smartphone has enough battery.

To start the game, you will need the game code that you received by email after purchasing your ticket.

Is there a specific starting point?

Yes, all Explorial Trails have a defined starting point. This is shown on the tour details page and will also be communicated to you by e-mail. Go to the starting point to start the adventure.

Where is the final destination located?

The final destination is different for each trail. However, it is always within short walking distance of the starting point.

Is there a guide?

The game is started and played directly on the smartphone. There is no guide on site. However, help is available if you have questions or problems.

Is Explorial wheelchair accessible?

Explorial Trails are unfortunately not very suitable for wheelchairs due to inclines and stairs.

Can you play Explorial in any weather?

In general, Explorial can be played in any weather condition. However, appropriate clothing is necessary, as all locations are outdoors.

Where can I find the Explorial app?

The app is available in both the GooglePlay Store and the App Store. It can be downloaded here.

Does every player need a smartphone?

Yes, each player in the group needs their own smartphone with the Explorial app installed and an active internet connection.

Children who do not yet have a smartphone do not need a ticket. They can play for free on their parents’ smartphone.

Is an internet connection required to play?

Yes, an Internet connection is required.

Tickets

How and where to buy Explorial tickets?

Tickets can be purchased directly here on the website. Immediately after booking, the starting information will be sent by e-mail.

Do you need to book an Explorial trail in advance?

No, once you have purchased a ticket through the website, you can start the game immediately. No reservation is necessary.

Does each player need their own ticket?

Yes, each player needs their own ticket.

How long are tickets valid?

A purchased ticket does not have to be redeemed immediately. A ticket is valid for up to 6 months.

Can a ticket be used multiple times?

No, with one ticket Explorial can be played only once. Once the group finishes the game, the trail is over.

If a ticket is purchased for a certain group size, but not all players participate in the game, the ticket is considered redeemed.

What is the minimum age for children?

Explorial is suitable for children ages 10-12 and up.

However, younger children or children who do not yet have a smartphone can play along on their parents’ smartphone. They do not need a ticket. The content of the game is suitable for older children, teenagers and adults.

Can I return purchased tickets?

Purchased tickets that have not yet been redeemed can be returned within 30 days. Please contact info@explorial.ch and we will get in touch with you.

I have lost my game code, how do I get a new one?

Please contact info@explorial.ch and we will work with you to solve the problem.
